Torrei Hart is still keeping her former husband’s last name (Hart) because she says “it’s mine, first of all”.
In an interview with Toofab as she was leaving the LAX Airport, the comedienne and actress was asked why she still uses her ex-husbands’ surname despite their divorce a decade ago, to which she answered;
“It’s mine, first of all. Second of all, ’cause Kevin never asked for it back — he don’t want [me] to give it back, he’s not trippin. And third of all, my kids don’t want me to change my name.”
How long was Torrei Hart and Kevin Hart together?
Torrei and Kevin Hart got married in 2003 and finalized their divorce in 2011. Kevin Hart admitted in an interview with Chelsea handler that he messed up his first marriage because “he was young”.
Kevin Hart said;
““I’m not ashamed to say it, guys. I got married at the age of 22. I was still all over the place. I didn’t really understand the definition of marriage. I wasn’t ready for it, so I take responsibility. I can say I messed my first marriage up. I’m man enough to say that.”
