Pat Robertson was a media mogul and the CEO of Regent University. He Robertson founded the Christian Broadcasting Network in 1960 and hosted a CBN talk show called the 700 Club for decades. The show combined religious and political commentary with a little entertainment.
Robertson also founded Regent University which has been ranked the No. 1 Best Online Bachelor’s Program in Virginia for ten years in a row by U. S. News & World Report in 2022.
He died at the age of 93, on Thursday, June 8, 2023. No cause of death was given.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved founder. Dr. Robertson was a globally-renowned leader, broadcaster, philanthropist, educator, author, accomplished businessman, and most importantly, a faithful servant of God who dedicated his life to glorify the Lord and the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Regent University Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, William L. Hathaway shared.
“Pat Robertson, longtime TV host, religious broadcaster, educator, humanitarian, and one-time presidential candidate died at his home in Virginia Beach early Thursday morning. He was 93,” CBN also announced in a written statement.
