Joshua Brown, 24, was arrested on Friday after being accused of two counts of criminal molestation. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office’s Major Case Unit conducted a 13-month investigation that ended with Brown’s arrest.

In Florida, however, child molestation is seen as a severe offense.

The Victim Describes To Be 13-Years-Old Girl

At the Integra Woods Apartment complex in June 2021, the victim, then 13 years old, was allegedly found sleeping on Brown’s couch.

She recalled waking up and realizing one of her hands was on Brown’s exposed genitalia. Brown was alleged to have urged her to keep the incident to herself when she awoke, completely undressed.

After a 13-month investigation yielded sufficient evidence, detectives were able to assert probable cause and secure an arrest warrant for Brown.

Many social media users left remarks on the Facebook post uploaded by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. One person wrote, “Thank you for getting him off the streets.” Prayers for the young girl. “

Another user comments, “Great job sticking with it; unlike other professions, “victims” are first and foremost, and justice isn’t just a term.”

“Our judicial system needs an overhaul on this kind of stuff. People like this need tougher punishment,” another person wrote.

While a user showed concern by writing, “I feel terrible for the girl who this monster has harmed.” She may never feel secure enough to sleep again. I hope she’s getting emotional help.”
