According to sources, he was admitted to the hospital about two weeks ago for breathing problems.
The 75-year-old veteran comedian and character actor was diagnosed with cancer several years ago.
“We are all eagerly awaiting good news about his health because he has been a fighter, and we all know how he has been fighting his ailment very boldly,” said an anonymous source.
He was president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) for many years.
