According to reports, the retired ABC7 Meteorologist Joel Bartlett died Thursday evening at his home in Santa Rosa, surrounded by family and the animals he loved.
He was 81 years old at the time of his death.
On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, before Bartlett died, Mayor London Breed proclaimed the day “Joel Bartlett Day”, honoring him with an official city proclamation highlighting his career achievements and involvement in the Bay Area community.
