Jessica Szohr is an American actress who gained worldwide recognition for her role as Vanessa Abrams on the 2007 CW teen drama series Gossip Girl.

Born March 31, 1985, in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Szohr attended Menomonee Falls High School. After graduating, moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career.

She made her screen debut as an actress in 2003 in an episode of the third season of My Wife and Kids, titled “Not So Hostile Takeover”. And also her first film was Uncle Nino (2003), playing a minor role as The MC.

Before her breakthrough role in the 2007 CW’s teen drama series Gossip Girl, she appeared in a major recurring role as Laura for six episodes in the ABC dramedy series What About Brian in that same year.

Since then Szohr has appeared in several films and tv shows including Fired Up! (2009), Piranha 3D (2010), Love, Wedding, Marriage (2011), and others.
