In 1968, Anita Baker rose to fame following the release of her Platinum-selling second album, Rapture, which included the Grammy-winning single, “Sweet Love”.
Baker’s most important work in her career was the album, Rapture which sold more than eight million copies. Baker also won two Grammy Awards in recognition of her efforts for that album.
In 1991, Baker won the Grammy Awards for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female for Composition. In 1996, she also won the Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
