Dallon Weekes (born Dallon James Weekes) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer best known for his work as a bassist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, and songwriter with Panic! at the Disco from 2009 to 2017. He was also the frontman of The Brobecks, a power-pop band, and afterward a solo musical effort. Weekes is currently the lead singer of the rock band I Don’t Know How But They Found Me.

Dallon Weekes Bands

The Brobecks (2002–2013)

Weekes formed the band as a weekend hobby after returning to Utah after a two-year stint in Oklahoma. 
The name of the band was inspired by a former classmate of Dallon’s. 
Weekes, photographer/producer Matt Glass, and another high school classmate made up the original lineup. 

After a few years of recording basement demos, touring, and line-up changes, the band was awarded a contract by a Drive-Thru Records offshoot, and Weekes was offered solo record deals by Sony BMG, Interscope Records, and a smaller indie label if he dropped his bandmates. 
Weekes said no.
Fall Out Boy, Phantom Planet, Ben Kweller, and The Bravery were among the bands that the Brobecks opened for. 
Despite all of the label attention and album success, the band remained unsigned and independent. 
Weekes made the Quiet Title EP available for download on The Brobecks’ Bandcamp page in late 2012, along with the opportunity to purchase a physical copy of the Violent Things Reissue CD. 
The Quiet Title EP includes two tracks, “Anyone I Know” and “Cluster Hug,” both of which feature Ian Crawford on guitar and were recorded and edited with the help of Matt Glass, a former Brobeck’s drummer.

In November 2012, Weekes stated in an interview with Salt Lake City’s X96 radio station that these songs were written during the songwriting and recording process for Panic’s fourth studio album, but did not fit with their collective vision for the new record.

Panic! at the Disco (2009–2017)

Weekes and Ian Crawford were hired on a temporary, touring basis to replace Ryan Ross and Jon Walker for Panic! at the Disco’s second studio album Pretty after their departure in 2009. 
It’s strange (2008). While on tour with the band in China in mid-2010, Weekes’ ‘touring only’ status was modified. 
Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith requested him to join them indefinitely at that point. 
However, his permanent status within the band was uncertain until Weekes announced his involvement with the band as a full-time member via Twitter in mid-2012.
Weekes was also featured on the album cover, masked and standing in the background behind Smith and Urie, during his time as an official member of Panic! at the Disco. Weekes was also responsible for the creation of the cover art for the band’s third studio album, Vices & Virtues (2011). 
On the band’s fourth studio album, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!, he was credited with writing all but two of the tracks (2013). Weekes was also nominated for the 2015 Alternative Press Music Awards for Best Bassist. 
Weekes’ status as a touring member was said to have changed during the promotion of the band’s fifth studio album Death of a Bachelor.

In October 2015, Weekes confirmed his departure from the official line-up of the band via Twitter, stating that he was “not contributing creatively anymore”. Dallon announced he was leaving Panic! at the Disco on December 27, 2017. He made this announcement via Instagram.

I Dont Know How But They Found Me (2016–present)

Weekes had been writing and recording songs while on the road with Panic! at the Disco for several years when he started the band. 
Weekes proposed presenting the album as a duo under the label I Don’t Know How But They Found Me because former Brobeck’s bandmate Ryan Seaman played drums on it. 
Weekes and Seaman began doing small gigs in late 2016 but kept their identities hidden. On December 6, 2016, they made their debut at Emo Nite Los Angeles’ 2-year anniversary concert. Following the event, other sources reported on Weekes and Seaman’s “new side project” and confirmed the band’s name.
Weekes and Seaman denied the entire endeavor for months, even when confronted with images and films taken at the events. Weekes later remarked that they did not want to capitalize on both his and Seaman’s celebrity and affiliation with well-known bands. 
In August of 2018, they announced their contract to Fearless Records. 1981 Extended Play, their debut EP, was published in November 2018. On November 15, 2019, the band released Christmas Drag, a Christmas EP. Razzmatazz, the band’s debut album, was released on October 23, 2020.
