Her most well-known film roles have been in The Chronicles of Riddick and the 1999 Canadian film Better Than Chocolate. She was nominated for a Gemini Award for her portrayal of Angela Ramrez in F/X: The Series. Cox played Lynn in the pilot episode of the UPN comedy Girlfriends as a founding member of the show. Cox has performed in various national theater plays, such as Jim Cartwright’s Road and Twelfth Night by Shakespeare.
