Cameron Phillip Heyward is an American football defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Ohio State. Heyward is the son of Pro Bowl NFL player Craig Heyward.

Craig William “Ironhead” Heyward (September 26, 1966 – May 27, 2006) was an American football fullback who played for the Pitt Panthers in College, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams, and Indianapolis Colts in an 11-year National Football League (NFL) career.
“There were about eight teams his agent had identified that had Connor on their list and were thinking about possibly drafting Connor,” said his mother, Charlotte Heyward. “The Steelers were one of them. I didn’t think it would work out that way.
Heyward had four sons named Craig, Jr., Cameron, Corey, and Connor. All four played sports in high school. Craig Jr. played for his father’s alma mater in New Jersey while his three brothers played for Peachtree Ridge High School in Georgia.
