Career

Austin Love’s career in journalism began as a News Intern at WFLA-TV in May 2015. Following this, he served as a TV Anchor/Reporter at The Daily Iowan, where he anchored weekly 15-minute newscasts covering campus, local, and national issues. In this role, he wrote, filmed, and edited passionate and creative stories to engage a diverse audience. Austin also worked as a correspondent at ESPNU Campus Connection from June 2015 to December 2015.

Moving forward, Austin transitioned to WREX-TV, where he held the position of Morning Reporter and Anchor from December 2015 to February 2018. Subsequently, he joined WKYC Studios in March 2018 as a reporter and MMJ (Multimedia Journalist). In November 2021, Austin took on the role of Saturday morning anchor at WKYC Studios.
