He had a large net worth due to his career as an actor in movies, television series, and stage shows. He began his career in the middle of the 1970s with the Negro Ensemble Company in New York, where he grew as a stage performer.

“The Bob Newhart Show,” “Taxi,” “What’s Happening,” “Sanford and Son,” and “Good Times” were among the TV shows on which Blacque soon received guest appearances. For two seasons of “Savannah” in 1996, he also portrayed a cop.

In 1987, Blacque appeared on stage in “Stepping Into Tomorrow” with Yolanda King. In 1988, he reprised his role in “Ceremonies in Dark Old Men.” In a pilot for CBS titled “Off-Duty,” Taurean reprised his role as a police officer. However, the network decided not to pick up the show.

In the Disney animated feature “Olive & Company,” Blacque provided Roscoe’s voice. He played Henry Marshall on NBC’s “Generations” in 1989. Likewise, a leading role in the science fiction movie “DeepStar Six” in 1989 was among his film roles during this time.

Taurean Blacque Wife and Family

Taurean Blackque was married to a model, Shelby, in 1966, with whom he had two biological children but later divorced.

He claimed that he chose the name “Taurean” because Taurus is his astrological sign. His mother was a nurse, and his father worked as a dry cleaner. However, the name of his parents is unknown.

Even before he had any adoptive children, Blacque was initially invited to act as the spokesperson for the County of Los Angeles Adoption Services office. Being a Christian, Blacque’s desire to get involved in adoption was influenced by his religion.

Although, he stated that when he looked into adoption, Taurean was informed that he was unfit to adopt since he was single. Nevertheless, he persisted, eventually adopting ten kids in addition to his two boys.

He was asked to represent adoption on a national level by President George H. W. Bush in 1989. At last, he had 12 children, 18 grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
