Eddie Collins’ career as a baseball player began when he signed up with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1906.  After eight season, he transferred to Chicago White Sox in 1915.

As he returned to the Athletics in 1927, Collins’ became player-coach for the team. His stint in the world of sports makes him the only player in Major League Baseball to play at least 12 season for two teams. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939.
